What they do

Check21 builds software that lets businesses accept checks and ACH payments and send them directly to their own bank, with no third-party processor in the middle. It is a technology provider, not a payment processor, and works with any bank.

Most of its products run natively inside Salesforce, so finance teams scan a check, match it to the right invoice, policy or donation, and deposit it without leaving the system where their customer data already lives. Customers include property managers, nonprofits and universities, city and state governments, insurers, self-directed IRA custodians and logistics companies.

What Soulf builds for Check21

Core Service: monolith to microservices

We led the migration of Check21's Core Service from a monolith to microservices, building 12 Node.js and Java services deployed as Docker containers on AWS EKS for zero downtime during peak traffic.

Payology Check Scanning

We engineered the product end to end: a JavaScript driver (Ranger) for local check data capture, a Java REST API that processes and validates check images through an OCR server, and the Salesforce integration built with Apex and custom UI components.
